How to install including all icons, sounds, etc….

@Mike First connect your Phone to your computer via the USB cable. Once connected, browse to your Memory Card.
Next, Extract the RAR file to a folder. Open the folder. You’ll see 4 folders, PSP Original Icons, PSP Sounds, and 2 foreign language(Russian?) folders, “????????? ???????” and “????-????”. Open the “????????? ???????” folder. You’ll see a folder called “Resource”, within that folder. Copy the “Resource” folder to your memory card(to the root folder, ie,if your Memory card is assigned a drive D, copy the “Resource” folder to D drive. If asked whether you want to Overwrite, Confirm by saying Yes. Next copy the other folder to your memory card, and apply the “.utz” theme from withing the Phone Settings. Disconnect the phone from the USB cable, and restart the phone. Once restarted, you will see the changed icons.

i dont have themes file or resource file on my P1! where can i find them? nomater where i put the theme my “themes” application on the phone doesnt pick it up therefore i cant apply it…all im left with is this weak default theme!!!!

hi ive got a minor problem, the instructions you posted hepled a lot, when you said to reset your phone and then your icons will automatically changed, that didnt happen, however i worked out another way to do that, manually, icon by icon, but the main problem is when i go to the main menu severel of the icons are changed but 4 of my icons are still the same,(walkman, web, messaging & contacts) could you please help me out here.thank you.

@Zah You can find the themes on the web – just google for Sony Ericsson P1i themes. The theme and resource file will be there with the theme archive.
@Yaser Are sure you have copied the Resource folder to the memory card? If you have it will definitely show
If the icons haven’t changed for some other theme, then it may not have a icon replacement. In this theme, some of the icons aren’t changed – that’s because they aren’t available and hence they retain the defaults.

hey. it does not work for 960i cause when i restarted the phone the icons on the wallpaper remains unchanged.

Sorry for the delayed reply – you can go back to the original icons, for this, you’ll have to delete some files, from your memory card.
Now form your memory card, head over to Resource folder. From there, goto Apps folder, and delete ALaunchIcon.mbm file. Come back to Resource folder, enter ZSLIB folder, and delete ZSLIB.mbm file.
Restart your phone, the original icons will be back
Note that you need a tool like Swiss task manager to delete these files, or else just remove the memory card, insert it into a card reader into your laptop/desktop and delete the above mentioned files.
DOn’t forget to restart your phone!

just curious, so for every new theme, to change you need to overwrite the resource folder?
and I saw themes that applys through out the whole phone, like everything?

Sathya, hi, one question, in your instructions when you refered (Next copy the other folder to your memory card, and apply the “.utz” theme from withing the Phone Settings.) what folder do you mean? would be the one with the foreing language? and about the other folders psp sounds etc. do I have to copy that to my memory card also, sorry for asking I dont have that many computer skills, thank you

Hey Marc, I couldn’t get your question correctly, do you mean the icons of shortcuts ? Or do you mean the shortcuts in the menu ? If you mean the latter, I’m afraid, from what I know its not possible

hey!!sathya .. my w960i cannot read the rar file, error message also i cannot extract the rar file on my pc.. i think only ZIP files only can be extracted.. i drag the psp RAR file to my pphone in the folder RESOURCE and i reboot my phone but theres no changes.. pls.. help me.. tnx..regards to all

sathya, if i may ask,is this PSP theme not going to affect the operating system (CDA version)for w960i? Since u said a file will be overwritten when copying the resource folder to media memory. Pls i need feedback so dat i don’t make mistakes.

Works on my W960i,but only Multimedia,Entertainment,Phone,Organizer and tools icon in main menu has change,also back,lock,task manager and signal and battery bar in standby mode.Icons in sub menu not changes at all.
Btw,it’s a great theme.thx.

Hi Sathya,,seriously this themes is for W960i? I tried it many times to copy the resources but I got nothing. I did step by step that you said still I couldn’t get it.
